Mission Statement

The mission of GAC is to provide Milwaukee County adults who have experienced mental illness with an array of opportunities that will assist them to experience recovery, to integrate into society via work and education, and to live lives that are vocationally productive and socially satisfying.


Clubhouse Philosophy

GAC is based on the Clubhouse Model of Psychiatric Rehabilitation, which currently provides more than 300 similar communities around the world. All strong Clubhouses are run by members and staff working together and provide their membership with paid employment opportunities, access to education in the community, and a strong work-ordered day. These Clubhouses are certified by the International Center for Clubhouse Development ( www.iccd.org), the training and accreditation headquarters for the global Clubhouse community.
